Anyways the rifle is a beauty and I am not afraid to head shot a white-tail out to 300 yards with it.
That's another reason why I picked the 12 power scope because the tube is long enough for rings and bases to go with the effed up drill and tap job. The only quirk the rifle came with is that the receiver was not drilled to the factory specs for a one-peice Leupold dovetail style rings and bases and I found out after I special ordered them. I picked a Redfield because I'm a fan of Leupold and their warranty and got the 12x magnification because sometimes 9x mag just isn't quite enough to tell if a moose has balls or those antlers are just a couple of willows behind its head at longer distances. Only until I missed a chance on what seemed like the biggest moose of my life 500 yards away that I decided it was time to get some optics. Used it a few seasons with only the iron sights and they are dead on for 150 yards. I found the one I liked and had him ship it to me! Ordered it on Monday and got it that Friday. I did my research and found a guy out of Quebec that deals largely with Husqvarnas and imported rifles/shotguns from Sweden (his website is and was a real pleasure to do business with. Nostalgia aside they are accurate rifles for how old they are which made me want one even more. It's really not an epic story at all! My grandpa had a crown-grade Husqvarna in 270 that was a fantastic rifle and then I wanted one because of the nostalgia factor.
